miR-101, a down-regulated miRNA in HCC tissues, was associated with a poor prognosis of HCC patients and served as a tumor suppressor by targeting genes, such as EZH2, DUSP, Mcl-1, and so on (Su et al., 2009; Shen et al., 2014; Wei et al., 2015; Li C. Y. et al., 2017). The gene discussed is MCL1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
