Querying these 10 LTL associated SNPs in the Phenoscanner database, we found rs6772228 (PXK), rs10936599 (TERC), rs2736100 (TERT) and rs755017 (ZBTB46) were significantly associated with phenotypes (rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, mean corpuscular hemoglobin, red blood cell count or body fat percentage) which were risk factors for osteoporosis or low BMD after Bonferroni correction (p < 0.05/10 = 0.005). The gene discussed is TERT; the disease is osteoporosis.
