It was reported that the IL1RN increased the proliferation of prostate epithelial cells [12]; also, the IL1RN was shown to antagonize oncogene-induced senescence in a Pten-null prostate cancer model [13] and was involved in the growth of pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasias in a Kras-G12D-mutant pancreatic cancer model [14]. This evidence concerns the gene PTEN and prostate cancer.
