Although the evaluation of checkpoint inhibitors in combination with IMiDs in MM has been halted because of an unfavorable benefit/risk profile of the PD-1 inhibitor pembrolizumab plus either lenalidomide-dexamethasone or pomalidomide-dexamethasone [35,36], several trials evaluating PD-1/PD-L1 blockade (e.g., nivolumab or atezolizumab) combined with daratumumab are ongoing in patients with RRMM (NCT03184194, NCT01592370, NCT02431208). Here, PDCD1 is linked to Miyoshi myopathy.
