The prior CRISPR screen identified five gene KOs leading to AML dropout in all five cell lines, including AURKB, MAP2K1, MAP2K2, IGF1R, and HDAC3. Although none of these targets passed our screening criteria, related genes such as AURKA, HDAC7, RUNX1, and KMT2A were identified as targets with existing inhibitors (Table 4). This evidence concerns the gene MAP2K2 and acute myeloid leukemia.
