CircFoxo3 overexpression induces cardiac senescence and aggravates doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy by retaining the anti-senescence proteins inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID-1) and E2F1, as well as the anti-stress proteins tyrosine kinase 2 (FAK) and HIF1α in the cytoplasm, disrupting the functions of these TFs, which mainly work in the nucleus (FAK in the mitochondria) [137].
