Recently, in a multicenter retrospective study including hospitalized COVID-19 patients with previously diagnosed hypertension, the use of ACE inhibitors (ACE-Is) and Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARBs) was associated with lower all-cause mortality (adjusted HR, 0.42; 95% CI, 0.19–0.92; p=0.03) and septic shock (adjusted HR, 0.36; 95% CI, 0.16–0.84; p=0.01). This evidence concerns the gene ACE and hypertensive disorder.
