In line with this, our results indicate that the stemness of colon cancer cells was increased by high levels of ATP13A2, but this phenomenon was reversed by bafilomycin A1, a repressor of the formation of autolysosomes, suggesting that ATP13A2 knockdown decreased the stemness of colon cancer cells by blocking the late autophagic progress. Here, ATP13A2 is linked to colonic neoplasm.
