Bladder cancer HT1376 cells with the transfection of HA synthase 1-anti sense displayed remarkably decreased protein and mRNA expression of CD44v3, CD44v6 and CD44s in comparison with the control counterpart, which indicated that HA synthase modulated bladder cancer growth, invasion and angiogenesis through regulating HA synthesis and the expression of its receptor CD44 [63].
