TP53 and breast cancer: In both A549 and IMR90 cells, phenanthriplatin upregulated TNFRSF10D (tumor necrosis factor–related apoptosis-inducing ligand receptor superfamily member 10d) (Table 1, Figure 7), and this TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) receptor gene is a downstream target of p53 signaling in NSCLC and breast cancer cell lines where its upregulation confers resistance to DNA-damaging agents [27].
