(viii) EGFR (a transmembrane receptor) HIF-1a (the main transcription factor mediating angiogenesis), CD31 and CD146 (a structural component of interendothelial junctions, associated with pathologic tumoral angiogenesis possibly by inducing endothelial permeability) was found to be overexpressed and significantly correlate with each other in ACC when compared with PA and NSG. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and adrenal cortex carcinoma.
