AHSG and rheumatoid arthritis: Alpha-2HS, phosphorylated glycoprotein/fetuin-A, is known to participate in the antifibrotic activity, and its lower levels found to be associated with impaired coronary flow in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction patients [42] apart from playing multiple roles in diabetes mellitus, CVDs, and rheumatoid arthritis [25, 31, 43].
