The immunohistochemistry analysis showed that the hiPSC group had a reduced number of macrophages in renal tissue, as showed by a greater decrease in the positive staining for CD68, when compared to the CKD group (CKD = 135 ± 32 vs. hiPSC = 27.9 ± 18, p < 0.001). Here, CD68 is linked to chronic kidney disease.
