Metastasis suppressor genes (reviewed in [200]) target the MAPK pathway (i.e., NMO9, RKIP, MKK4,6,7), adhesion proteins (KAI1, E-cadherin, CD44), cytoskeletal signaling (Gelsolin, Rho-Rac pathway, DLC-1), G-protein coupled receptors (KISS1, PKA/C pathway, AKAP12) and apoptotic pathway (Caspase-8) and are found mutated in various cancers that have metastasized.
