TNF and rheumatoid arthritis: RA patients carrying ε2ε3 genotype, who have lower levels of TNF-α, IL-6, resistin, and visfatin, may have lower CVD risk compared with ε3ε3 genotype carriers, while those with ε3ε4 genotype, who have higher levels of LDL-C and IR, may have higher CVD risk compared with ε2ε3 genotype carriers.
