Surprisingly, Vc was found to be more efficient in proliferation suppressing, apoptosis inducing, and S phase arresting in WT (lentiviral transfection, negative control) CRC cells, while no obvious effect was found in KD (lentiviral transfection, MALAT1-knockdown) CRC cells in vitro (Figure 4), which indicated that MALAT1 is an important intermediate link in the Vc's suppressive function in CRC. This evidence concerns the gene MALAT1 and colorectal carcinoma.
