Here we found that mice infected by WSN induced higher levels of IFNα, IFNγ, IL-2, IL-4, and IL-6 known to activate the antibody response, while the NA-defective WSN induced higher levels of IL-10, IL-12, and IL-27 known to trigger the cellular immune response (Fig. 4a–h)13–18. The gene discussed is IL4; the disease is early-onset parkinsonism-intellectual disability syndrome.
