Consistent with the regression analysis results, the presence of thrombocytopenia (PLT < 100 × 109/l) or high AFP levels (AFP > 8 ng/ml) improved the prediction of liver fibrosis, (OR = 6.763, 95% CI: 2.310–19.797, P<0.001 and OR = 18.804, 95% CI: 4.433–79.757, P<0.001), respectively (Table 4).
