Our results could be caused by the arguments underlined by Aggarwal [29]: (a) two major inflammation pathways, transcription factors p‐NFκB and p‐STAT‐3, are stimulated by risk factors for cancer; (b) cancer malignancy occurs; and (c) in many cancer types, p‐NFκB and p‐STAT‐3 are continuously active [30]. Here, STAT3 is linked to cancer.
