BMSC injection in a DSS-induced colitis mice model exhibited a reduction in the intestinal inflammation via the formation of aggregates, which consisted of macrophages and B and T cells, as well as immunomodulatory molecules such as FOXP3, IL-10, TGF-β, CCL22, heme oxygenase-1, arginase type II, and TSG6 within the peritoneal cavity of colitis mice. This evidence concerns the gene FOXP3 and colitis.
