Additionally, the positive correlation of n-pentadecanoic acid with IL-10; as well as the negative association between the acids: n-pentadecanoic, methyl-tetradecanoic, and octadecanoic, ethyl ester with insulin, LPS, pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL1-α and IL1-β), leptin, and triglycerides levels, suggest that these fatty acids might be contributing to mitigate metabolic endotoxemia and low-grade inflammation in the HF+A group.
