For example, low BUB1 expression levels resulted in more lymphomas, sarcomas, and lung tumors, whereas higher ones led to sarcomas and tumors in the liver.[51] An animal experiments indicated that BUB1 possibly involved in tumorigenesis, where mice with reduced BUB1 expression appeared an increase in tumor susceptibility.[52,53] Han et al[54–57] found that BUB1 expression is correlated with a poor clinical prognosis in patients with BC.
