SCN5A and ovarian carcinoma: We first demonstrated that NaV1.5 level was highly expressed in the human cancerous ovarian tissues (71 cases, stage II–III) compared to the normal ovarian tissues (30 cases), and the level was also higher in human ovarian metastatic lesions than those in the primary ovarian cancer tissues among the 16 paired samples by immunohistofluorescent analysis (Supplemental Figure S1).
