Intriguingly, interleukin‐6 (IL‐6) and interleukin‐27 (IL‐27) were dramatically down‐regulated after CD63 overexpression (Figure 4D), both of which are involved in the regulation of inflammation in the tumour microenvironment as well as proliferation, survival and invasiveness of tumour cells through downstream signalling pathways such as JAK/STAT3 pathway.24, 25, 26. This evidence concerns the gene CD63 and neoplasm.
