We identified only three shared dysregulated transcripts in CM, TB and sarcoidosis (lymph nodes); CXCL13, CD27 and SLAMF7, a finding that points to diverse pathogenic mechanisms in granulomatous diseases that result in a similar histopathological conglomeration of CD4+ T cells surrounded by CD8+ T cells, fibroblasts and B cells. The gene discussed is CXCL13; the disease is tuberculosis.
