Mutations in this receptor are very frequent in other types of neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract32, 33 and also in other tumour types, such as glioblastoma,34 hepatocarcinoma35 and lung adenocarcinoma,36 where reduced expression of TGFBR2 increases tumour aggressiveness. This evidence concerns the gene TGFBR2 and glioblastoma.
