The redox activity of Ref‐1 diminishes cell growth, causes cell cycle arrest and shrinks pancreatic patient‐derived xenografts (PDX) tumours by blocking the tumour cells’ ability to regulate key transcriptions factors such as STAT3 (signalling transducer and activator of transcription‐3), hypoxia inducible factor‐1α (HIF‐1α) and NFκB.3 This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and neoplasm.
