Subsequently, we proved for the first time that QIG extract also triggered autophagy in CRC cells as evidenced by the appearance of autophagosomes, increased expression level of LC3-II and Beclin-1, decreased expression level of p62 and the production of LC3-positive autophagic-like vacuoles detected by TEM, western blotting and confocal microscope respectively. This evidence concerns the gene MAP1LC3A and colorectal carcinoma.
