Based on previous studies [36], we believe antimalarials may interfere in important oncogenic pathways such as Wnt/β-catenin, STAT3, NF-kB, and in mitochondria metabolism, leading to the formation of ROS, which sensitizes cancer cells and enhances antineoplastic drugs’ activity; however, deeper mechanistic studies are recommended for further evaluation of the anticancer mechanisms underlying these combinations. Here, NFKB1 is linked to cancer.
