CFTR and cystic fibrosis: At the same time, the dysfunctional activity of ion channels can cause serious and even fatal diseases; the activity of the P2X purinoceptor 4 (P2X4) channel is related to neuropathic pain [6,7], malfunction of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) channel causes cystic fibrosis [8,9], and disorder of the human ether-a-go-go related gene (HERG) channel leads to serious arrhythmia [10].
