This is further supported by the lack of a synthetic lethal interaction between the IDH mutation and a broad spectrum of epigenetic regulators, even though these kinds of synthetic lethal interactions (i.e., BET protein and DNMT inhibitors) were previously described in IDH mutant acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and glioma [25,26,27].
