AST [27.0 (20.0–40.0) vs. 24.0 (18.0–38.0), p = 0.008], LDH [258.0 (200.0–355.0) vs. 227.0 (181.0–309.0)], CRP [30.8 (9.4–68.9) vs. 9.4 (2.4–54.1), p < 0.001] and procalcitonin [0.06 (0.04–0.14) vs. 0.05 (0.03–0.09), p < 0.001] were substantially higher in the COVID-19 patients with GI symptoms. Here, CRP is linked to COVID-19.
