Approximately 40% of MM tumors harbor chromosome t(4;14), t(11;14), or t(14;16)/t(14;20) translocations, which result in overexpression of oncogenes (including WHSC1/MMSET/NSD2, FGFR3, CCND1, MAF, and MAFB) through juxtaposition to the immunoglobulin heavy-chain locus [2, 3]. Here, NSD2 is linked to Miyoshi myopathy.
