et al. recently performed an integrated analysis of DNA methylation and gene expression in PBMCs from RA patients where identified an interferon inducible gene interaction network (MX1, IFI44L, DTX3L and PARP9) and highlighted the key role of PARP9 gene in the pathogenesis of RA [155]. The gene discussed is IFI44L; the disease is rheumatoid arthritis.
