PON1 and atherosclerosis: The coagulation system, FXR/RXR, LXR/RXR activation, and atherosclerosis signaling pathways had the highest enrichment ratio in Pon1−/− mice (0.114, 0.095, 0.091, and 0.064, respectively; −log(p-value) = 6.7, 18.6, 16.6, and 10.9, respectively), about threefold higher than in PON1-192QQ humans (0.029, 0.040, 0.033, and 0.016, respectively: −log(p-value) = 1.9, 9.2, 7.0, and 3.0, respectively) (Figure 4), except for the complement system pathway, which had a similar enrichment ratio in Pon1−/− mice and in PON1-192QQ humans (0.027; −log(p-value) = 1.27 and 1.84, respectively).
