ADIPOQ and Obesity: The mean adiponectin level among females with overweight was higher than the level of those with grade III obesity (17.0 μg/ml and 12.2 μg/ml, respectively), and also the mean adiponectin level among females with grade I obesity (15.8 μg/ml) was higher than the level of those with grade III obesity, and both differences were statistically significant (F = 3.817, P = 0.013) (Fig. 1).
