SLC2A1 and neoplasm: TUBO and BALB-neuT tumours expressed a lower level of GLUT1 as compared to 4T1 and TS/A (fluorescence intensity, 239.8 ± 20.6, 229.8 ± 12.43, 685.3 ± 53.3 and 756.9 ± 55.42 for BALB-NeuT, TUBO, 4T1 and TS/A tumours, Fig. 3c), confirming that increased glucose demand is associated to more aggressive tumours, as observed for the cell lines in vitro.
