Evaluation of anti-proliferative activity for the new 2-(1H-indol-3-yl)-5-substituted-1,3,4-oxadiazoles (4a–m) was carried out in Bcl-2-expressing human metastatic breast (MDA-MB-231) [9] and cervical (HeLa) [10] cancer cell lines, using the MTT endpoint assay, following 72 h incubation of test compound, according to previously established protocols [5,6,7,8]. The gene discussed is BCL2; the disease is cancer.
