Extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT lymphoma) is a distinct type of B-cell lymphoma characterized by a heterogenous infiltrate consisting of small B-cells in epithelial structures and the marginal zone of secondary lymphoid follicles and a typical, relatively “non-descript” immunophenotype of CD20+CD5-CD10-cyclinD1- [1]. The gene discussed is MME; the disease is B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
