To date, the driver genes identified in lung cancers include KRAS, EGFR, ALK, MET, BRAF, ROS1, RET, ERBB2, and NTRK, most of which contain actionable alterations except KRAS. The passenger genes, such as TP53, AKT1, PIK3CA, MAP2K1, STKII, KEAP1, etc. are not involved in the disease initiation, but some have a therapeutic or prognostic value.
