Because of the absence of specific antigen for myeloid malignancies, CAR T cells for AML have also been developed to target non‐specific antigens, including Lewis Y,25 CD33,26 CD123,27 fms‐related receptor tyrosine kinase 328 and C‐type lectin‐like molecule,29, 30, 31 which are also expressed in the subset of haematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. Here, CD33 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
