Previous experimental studies have demonstrated that deficiency of MTHFR could lead to hyperhomocysteinemia and it also give rise to an elevated risk of multiple cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disorders (Luo et al., 2018; Santilli, Davì, & Patrono, 2016; Wei et al., 2017). The gene discussed is MTHFR; the disease is hyperhomocysteinemia.
