Our findings were consistent with the previous study that high expression of AQP9 was associated with favorable OS in all gastric cancer patients including intestinal and diffused types 26, while high expression of AQP9 was accompanied by worse prognosis in patients with lymph node-negative breast cancer and was increased in higher SBR (Scarff–Bloom–Richardson) grades of all types of breast cancer in particular27. The gene discussed is AQP9; the disease is gastric cancer.
