Typically, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) exhibits a spectrum of MHC-I presentation and high antigen expression in the tumor, but immune escape in TNBC has been found to be predominantly related to the development of the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (including Tregs, MDSCs and PD-1/PD-L1) [45]. The gene discussed is CD274; the disease is triple-negative breast carcinoma.
