Some latest research revealed that tumors lacking central memory CD4 T cells or natural killer cells were associated with better prognosis in GBM (Wu et al., 2019), T follicular helper (TFH) cells, and activated NK Cells and M0 macrophages formed an immune risk score to be independent predictors for malignant transformation in low-grade glioma (Lu et al., 2019); higher percentage of CD163+ cells was associated with a worse prognosis in GBM (Martinez-Lage et al., 2019). The gene discussed is CD163; the disease is glioblastoma.
