We also found that age, gender, BMI, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, hypertension, smoking history, recent myocardial infarction, previous cardiac surgery, cardiac tamponade, LVEF, serum creatinine, critical preoperative state, unstable angina, d-dimer, platelet, fibrinogen, c-reactive protein, troponin I, ascending aorta diameter, pleural effusion, pericardial effusion, coronary arteries involved, cardiopulmonary bypass time, and cross-clamp time were not associated with postoperative in-hospital death in this cohort (Table 2).
