POMC and Hypokalemia: Table 4 also shows that the majority of patients suffered from hypokalemia with median potassium (K) concentrations 2.65mmol/l, which affected 17 of 24 individuals (70%; all but one had potassium levels lower than 3.0 mmol/l). However, all patients had an evidence of prior hypokalemia in medical history.
