To dissect the mechanism by which GPER altered NSCLC cell growth, we then examined the expression levels of some selective oncogenes related to cell growth/proliferation and found that knock‐down of GPER in A549 cells led to decreasing the expression levels of NOTCH1, Hif‐1α, β‐catenin, CXCR4, CENPE and C‐MYC at mRNA level (Figure 2A). The gene discussed is NOTCH1; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
