Hospitalized patients were older (68.0 ± 12.6 vs. 55.2 ± 12.6 years, p < 0.001), with more class III obesity (BMI ≥ 40 kg/m2, 9.7 vs. 3.5%, p = 0.03), hypertension (81.6 vs. 44.3%, p < 0.0001), insulin therapy (37% vs. 23.7%, p = 0.009), and lower SpO2 (91.6 vs. 97.3%, p < 0.0001) than outpatients. This evidence concerns the gene INS and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
