YTHDC2 and neoplasm: Similar to the observations for cohort #1, MDA and YTHDC2 were suppressed, while both the mRNA and protein levels of SLC7A11 were elevated in the tumor compared to the adjacent tissues in cohort #3 (n = 30) (Fig. 7M), confirming that suppression of YTHDC2 in LUAD prevents lipid peroxidation by upregulating SLC7A11.
